Written Walkthrough
1. Navigate to https://coaching.soundingboardinc.com and log in.
There are times when Sounding Board may face challenges connecting to your external calendar through the Cronofy Integration. When this occurs, sessions will stop populating on your calendar automatically, whether for new or updated events. Some of those instances are -
- Your calendar is in a non-active state
- Your calendar settings have changed, affecting your primary calendar in Sounding Board
For information on our calendar integration, see Cronofy Calendar Integration.
2. Connection Error Banner
If your calendar needs to be reconnected, you will see a banner on your Dashboard. The message will vary slightly depending on the error.
3. Account Profile
To understand and address the cause of the disconnection -
- Click "Account Profile"
4. Calendar Status
For calendars you already have linked, they will each show the status.
- Active - your calendar is properly linked.
- Pending - your calendar has yet to properly sync with your email provider, we recommend reaching out to your email administrator if this does not resolve within 24 hours.
- Read Only - while your calendar is connected, the permissions are set to read-only and will not create events for sessions scheduled in Sounding Board. We recommend reaching out to your email administrator to assist in updating your permissions.
-
Relink - you need to relink your account; this typically happens when you update your password, and your new password needs to be entered.
- To resolve this, simply click "Relink" and follow the prompts
5. Primary Calendar
If your account is active, review your primary calendar, as this information is pulled directly from your calendars. In this example, the primary calendar that was selected no longer exists in the linked email.
- Click the 🔽 Primary Calendar Selector
- Select the new Primary Calendar
6. Return Home
You will notice that once the error is corrected, the banner noting an error disappears.
Any sessions scheduled moving forward should sync to your calendar.
- Click "Home"
🚨 Alert: Once you have relinked your calendar, you may be asked to confirm you have reconnected.
7. Calendar Session Download
For any sessions that were scheduled while there was a connection error, the session will not have synced to your calendar. In these situations, there will be a calendar download option -
- Click "Download"
This manual download option ensures users can still access and import their event information even when automatic synchronization isn't available.
Note: Downloaded calendar events are a snapshot in time. If a session is later rescheduled or cancelled, your downloaded calendar event will not automatically update to reflect these changes.
