Sounding Board offers an integration between Slack and Sounding Board’s In-app Messaging. If a user receives a new chat message while not actively logged into their Sounding Board account, they will receive a notification via the Sounding Board Slack app in their Slack Workspace.
For customers to opt-in to Slack notifications in the platform, their company’s Slack Admin must first follow Slack Integration Installation.
Slack Opt-In Instructions
Each individual who wishes to utilize the Slack Integration will need to opt-in after the Admin has installed the Integration in your company’s Slack Workspace.
- Click your profile icon or name in the upper right corner of your home page.
- Click Account

Click on the Slack Notifications tab

If you do not see the Slack Notifications Tab, reach out to your Slack Administrator to assist with Slack Integration Installation.

- Click “Link Account,” and you will be directed to Slack

The below message will display in your Slack Workspace, asking to confirm connection to Sounding Board Slack App. Select “Connect account.”

Once confirmed in Slack, the Sounding Board app will refresh and confirm the Slack connection
Slack Integration Experience
After opting into the Slack Integration, you will receive notifications in Slack when you have unread chat messages in the Sounding Board platform if you are not actively logged in.
When you receive the notification(s), you can select “View message,” where you will be directed to the In-App Chat Messaging in your Sounding Board account to review and respond to the message.
