Below is an outline of the coaching agreement that pertains to Sounding Board Guide coachees, individuals whose coaches are subcontractors of Sounding Board. These details are presented to applicable users during the onboarding process.
Written Coaching Agreement
Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the coach and the coachee, in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize leadership and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of professional and business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals.
As a coachee, I agree...
Scheduling & Cancellation
- To schedule and show up for my sessions twice a month.
- Any cancellation requires communication through the Sounding Board app.
- For 1:1 coaching cancellations made within 24 hours of the session date and time, please be aware that canceling this session so close to your session date and time will result in the loss of a session in your coaching engagement.
- For group coaching cancellations, please notify your coach directly or through the Sounding Board group chat function with as much advance notice as possible.
- To schedule and show up for my sessions on a recommended twice a month cadence.
- To reschedule or cancel any session I am unable to attend as soon as possible. Note: Any reschedule or cancellation requires communication through the Sounding Board app. Cancellations made within 24 hours or less of the session date and time will result in the loss of the session in your overall engagement.
Participation
To communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance, and create the time and energy to participate fully in the coaching engagement.
Ownership
To come prepared for each session, have an agenda, be active, and take ownership for myself.
To be willing to reflect on myself, embedding coaching results in my daily work life and take ownership of the coaching content and solutions.
Responsibilities
That I am fully responsible for my physical, mental, and emotional well-being during my coaching sessions, including my choices and decisions.
That I decide how to handle work issues. Incorporating coaching into my work and leadership role and implementing my choices is exclusively my responsibility.
Coaching Does Not Involve
Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders. Coaching is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment and I will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment or therapy.
Coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual or other qualified professionals. I understand that all decisions in these areas are exclusively mine and I acknowledge that my decisions and my actions regarding them are my sole responsibility.
