This article is for Guide customers who are in an engagement with a Sounding Board coach.
At Sounding Board, our hope is that each coaching engagement goes so well that all participants of the coaching engagement, including the company stakeholder(s), will want the coaching and leadership development progress to continue. This article describes the process required for an extension request to be approved and initiated.
Coach or Coachee requested extension
All coaching engagement extensions must be approved by the company stakeholder and then initiated by the Sounding Board customer experience partner (CXP) for that company.
If you are a coachee or coach requesting an extension, the following needs to happen:
- As a coachee, reach out to your manager and company stakeholder to understand the process to request an extension. Once approved, have the company stakeholder reach out to their Sounding Board CXP to begin the extension and contracting process.
- As a coach, click on the blue support button in the lower left-hand corner. Navigate to inform the engagement management or customer experience team that your coachee will be requesting an extension. This will prompt the CXP to bring the extension request to their stakeholder during their next scheduled cadence.
- Coaches, please refer to the Company Profile, in the SB software, which contains company specific information that may include stakeholder names and if applicable, the unique extension process related to that company.
Company Stakeholder requested/approved extension
If you are a company stakeholder seeking an extension for one of your leaders, reach out to your CXP to discuss the extension request. They will work with you to determine the following:
- Confirm the coachee level
- The length of the extension and start date
- Decide whether or not it will be with the same coach
- And help you complete a change order for the extension.
When these are complete, the CX partner will initiate the extension process and work with SB teams to execute the necessary steps for the coaching engagement.
