Once you've been added to a coaching program, you will receive and can complete the Leadership Profile.
The Leadership Profile is Sounding Board’s version of a coaching intake form and a foundational tool for both you and your coach. It encourages you to pause and reflect on your leadership development, goals, values, and self-perception. This reflection helps capture your unique approach to leadership. The profile provides a structured and efficient way to begin your coaching engagement, giving your coach the crucial information needed to jump right in from the first session.
A few additional callouts about why the Leadership Profile Matters:
- Self-Assessment of Leadership Capabilities: A critical part of the Leadership Profile is the self-assessment and rating of your leadership capabilities. You'll evaluate yourself on a set of key leadership capabilities that your organization has identified as essential for leader development. This process establishes a baseline for your capabilities, allowing you and your coach to track and measure your progress throughout your coaching engagement.
- Note: As part of your manager’s dashboard, they will be able to see these ratings – as compared to their own ratings – but this is the only element of this Leadership Profile they can see.
- Value of Leveraging Technology for a Deeper Understanding: Completing the Leadership Profile highlights the powerful role technology plays in enhancing your coaching experience. By leveraging technology, you can gain deeper insights and maximize the impact of your coaching engagement.
- Jump Start Goal Creation: Through completion of the Leadership Profile, in your first couple of sessions, your coach will help you translate what you share here into a few key development goals that will become the focus of your coaching work.
