This article is for Admins and Sponsors.
This guide explains how to set your company's preferred video conferencing provider. When set, this preference is used as the default for all sessions where no program-level preference overrides it. This applies to both 1:1 and group coaching programs.
PREREQUISITES:
- At least one conferencing option (Zoom or Microsoft Teams) must be enabled for your organization. Contact your Sounding Board account team if you do not see conferencing options in the company profile.
- You must have Admin or Sponsor access to edit the company profile.
SET THE COMPANY CONFERENCING PREFERENCE:
1. Navigate to Company Settings.
Tip: Sponsors can also set this preference during sponsor onboarding when completing the company profile step.
2. Open or edit the Company Profile form.
3. Locate the Default Conferencing field.
4. Click the Default Conferencing dropdown and select one of the following:
- None: no company-level preference is set; sessions will use the coach's default
- Zoom: shown only if Zoom conferencing is enabled for your organization
- Teams: shown only if Microsoft Teams conferencing is enabled for your organization
5. Click Save to apply the setting.
Tip: This field is optional. If left set to None, sessions fall back to the coach's default conferencing setting (if one is set) or prompt the coach to select during scheduling.
Note: If you set Zoom or Teams as your company preference, coaches must have both a linked Zoom or Teams account and a synced Cronofy calendar for sessions to schedule correctly. Custom video meeting links do not require a synced calendar.
HOW THE COMPANY PREFERENCE INTERACTS WITH OTHER SETTINGS:
The company-level preference applies to both 1:1 and group coaching programs. It is the second priority in the conferencing default order:
1. Program-level conferencing preference (highest priority)
2. Company-level conferencing preference (this setting)
3. Coach's default conferencing setting
4. No preselection if none of the above are set
To set a preference for a specific program instead, see How to Set a Program Conferencing Preference.
