This guide explains how to activate Away Mode as a coach on the Sounding Board platform. Away Mode allows coaches to temporarily prevent new coaching engagements while they are on vacation or otherwise unavailable. By following the steps in this guide, coaches can easily activate and set the timeframe for Away Mode, ensuring they won't be assigned new coaching engagements during that period. This is a helpful feature for coaches who want to take a break or have a planned absence.

Written Walkthrough
1. Navigate to https://coaching.soundingboardinc.com and log in as a coach.
Away Mode is a way to prevent coaches from being assigned new coaching engagements, while on vacation, leave of absence, or otherwise unavailable.
2. Navigate to your Account Settings
In the upper right-hand corner, click Your Name, and then
- Click "Account Settings"
- Navigate to the "Calendar" tab
3. Activate Away Mode
On your calendar settings, scroll to the Set Away Mode section -
- Click "Activate Away Mode"
4. Set Away Timeframe
Select the timeframe you will be unavailable for, as an example -
- Click "1 Week"
5. Set Away Timeframe
Add in the details specifying the specific date range -
- Click the "Start Date"
- Select the date
- Click "OK"
Note: You will only need to add your return date if you selected the "Custom" option previously; otherwise the return date will calculate for you.
6. Activate Away Mode
Once you have filled out the appropriate details -
- Click "Activate Now"
Once set, Away Mode will be active during the set timeframe and will automatically be removed after the timeframe end date. If needed, you can "Edit Away Timeframe" to adjust the dates you're away or to remove Away Mode if you return prior to the timeframe end date.
💡 Tip: Away Mode Tip!
When away mode is active:
- All current and active engagements will still remain active and assigned to you*
- Active coachees will still have the ability to schedule sessions with you**
- You will not be assigned new coaching engagements
*If you are unable to maintain your active engagements, please reach out to your Program or Company Admin to discuss how to transfer to re-assign those engagements.
