1. Navigate to https://coaching.soundingboardinc.com and log in as a manager.
Welcome to the Manager Dashboard, your central hub for supporting your direct reports' growth through our development platform. This guide introduces you to the dashboard's features, designed to help you track and enhance your team members' progress as they engage in coaching and/or mentoring programs.
Note: Access to your Manager Dashboard depends on your roles and setup; if you do not see these options but believe you should, please contact your program admin.
2. Manager Dashboard
You may have access to multiple dashboards if you do, to access your manager dashboard -
- Click the ▼ down menu
- Click "Manager"
3. Manager Overview
The manager overview provides a snapshot of direct report engagement in coaching and mentoring programs. It displays enrollment numbers for 1:1 coaching, group coaching, and mentoring, with options visible based on enabled modules. The overview also highlights quarter-over-quarter changes, allowing managers to track increased participation.
🚨 Alert: Managers with No Direct Reports
Managers without direct reports in the Sounding Board Platform will be able to access their manager dashboard, but they will have no data to populate.
4. Active Engagements
The Active Engagements section lists all your direct reports currently participating in coaching and/or mentoring programs, sorted alphabetically by last name. There is an entry for each individual engagement the direct report is participating in, showing -
- Type - displaying the type of engagement (1:1 coaching, group coaching, or mentoring)
- Progress - displaying the total number of sessions and how many have been completed for the specific engagement
To see more details about your direct report, click anywhere on their card, and you will be directed to their profile overview. For more information, see Manager's Direct Report Overview.
Note: By default, these display alphabetically by first name; you can sort the opposite direction by tapping the ▼ next Individual.
🚨 Alert: Tracking Status
If your company utilizes coaching status tracking (additional add-on/configuration), you will see Status information across your manager dashboard.
Statuses are defined as -
- Onboarding: During the first month, a coachee is onboarding into coaching. To stay on track, the coachee should schedule the initial session during this time.
- On Track: A coaching session has occurred within the past 17 days and upcoming sessions are scheduled.
- At Risk: A coaching session has occurred within the past 17 days, but there are no upcoming sessions scheduled in the next 17 days.
- Off Track: No coaching sessions have occurred in the past 18 days and there are no sessions scheduled in the future.
5. Business Outcomes
This section provides a breakdown of the business outcomes your direct reports are pursuing, as defined in their Leadership Roadmap goals. It offers a quick overview of the key objectives each team member is striving to achieve.
Note: If none of your direct reports have shared goals with you, there will be no data to be displayed for Business Outcomes or Leadership Capabilities (next).
6. Leadership Capabilities
This segment showcases a breakdown of the leadership capabilities your direct reports are developing, as outlined in their Leadership Roadmap goals. It provides insight into the specific leadership skills and competencies each team member is focusing on improving.
7. All Direct Reports
This section will show all of your direct reports who are currently in Sounding Board, whether or not they have any active engagements.

8. Recommended Resources
At the bottom, you will see recommended resources to help you use the system and learn how you can assist in the development of your direct reports.
