The enhancements in this release introduce greater flexibility in video conferencing, Leadership Roadmap and other coachee improvements, and streamline key admin workflows.
Video Conferencing Update – More Flexible Scheduling Options
We’ve updated the session scheduling experience to provide greater flexibility in how video conferencing is selected.
Coaches and coachees can now choose from multiple conferencing options when scheduling a session.
Microsoft Teams Availability
Microsoft Teams support is optional and will be enabled for:
Sounding Board Guide
BTS Guide
For Microsoft Teams to appear as a scheduling option:
The coach must link their Microsoft Teams account in their profile settings (instructions for coach below).
If a Teams account is not linked, Microsoft Teams will not appear as an option.
Available Conferencing Options
When scheduling a session, the following options may be available (depending on the coach’s setup):
Microsoft Teams (if the coach has linked their account)
The coach’s existing video conferencing link (for example, Zoom)
A custom URL (entered at the time of scheduling)
Phone
This allows coaching engagements to move forward smoothly when different customers or organizations have specific conferencing preferences.
Default Conferencing Behavior
To maintain continuity:
If a coach has an existing video conferencing link saved in their profile, that link will be selected by default.
If the coach does not have a saved conferencing link but has linked Microsoft Teams, then Microsoft Teams will be selected by default.
The person scheduling the session can switch to any available option before scheduling.
What This Means for Coaches
When scheduling a session, coaches can:
Choose Microsoft Teams (if linked)
Use their existing conferencing link
Paste a custom URL
Select Phone
Coaches can switch between these options directly in the scheduling window.
What This Means for Coachees
When scheduling a session with a coach who has Microsoft Teams linked, coachees can:
Select Microsoft Teams
Use the coach’s existing conferencing link
Enter a custom URL
Select Phone
Important Notes
This update provides additional flexibility for individual coaching sessions.
At this time:
Unique Zoom meeting links are not automatically generated.
Program- or organization-level conferencing defaults are not yet supported.
Microsoft Teams is not yet supported for group coaching sessions.
Additional conferencing enhancements are planned for a future release.
How Coaches Can Link Their Microsoft Teams Account
To use Microsoft Teams for coaching sessions, you must first link your Teams account in the platform.
To link your Microsoft Teams account:
Log in to your Sounding Board account.
Go to your Account Settings page.
Locate the Conferencing tab, Microsoft Teams integration section.
Select Connect Microsoft Teams.
Follow the prompts to authenticate and grant access.
Once your account is successfully connected:
Microsoft Teams will appear as an available option when scheduling sessions.
If you do not have another video conferencing link saved, Teams will be selected by default.
If you choose not to link your Teams account, you can continue using:
Your existing video conferencing link
A custom URL
Phone conferencing
Leadership Roadmap (LRM) Experience Updates
We’ve made improvements to the Leadership Roadmap (LRM) experience to simplify goal views and improve usability for both coachees and managers.
What’s Improved
Cleaner Goal View
We’ve streamlined the main goal view by removing the “Ways of Thinking” and “Ways of Behaving” cards from this view. These are still available when creating a goal and can be viewed in the Goal Details side-sheet view.
This creates a more focused and easier-to-scan experience when reviewing goals.
Improved Goal Details Layout
The goal details side panel has been updated to improve spacing and readability, making it easier to review goal information and related content.
Smoother Navigation
We’ve removed double-scroll behavior in LRM views, resulting in a smoother and more intuitive experience when navigating goals.
What This Means
A cleaner, more focused goal experience
Improved readability when reviewing goal details
Easier navigation without nested scrolling
These updates apply to both coachee and manager views within the Leadership Roadmap.
Coachee Experience Updates
Improved Coach Profile Visibility During Onboarding
We’ve updated how coach profiles are displayed during certain onboarding scenarios.
If coach matching is still in progress, coach profiles will not be visible until a coach has been confirmed.
What this means:
A clearer onboarding experience
Reduced confusion during the matching process
Visibility only into confirmed coach assignments
Enhanced 48-Hour Session Reminder Email
We’ve improved the 48-hour session reminder email to provide clearer session details and easier access to meeting information.
What this means:
Improved formatting and readability
Clearer instructions for joining your session
Reduced risk of missed or delayed meetings
All users will automatically receive the updated reminder 48 hours before a scheduled session.
Admin Experience Enhancements
We’ve delivered several improvements to help program administrators manage onboarding and coaching logistics more efficiently.
Filter to Hide Coaches Assigned to Direct Reports
Administrators can now filter coach lists to hide coaches who are already assigned to direct reports.
This makes it easier to:
Identify available coaches
Manage assignments more efficiently
Reduce manual cross-checking during onboarding
What This Means for Admins
These updates are designed to:
Improve visibility and clarity during coach matching
Support smoother session coordination
We’ll continue making incremental improvements to streamline the onboarding and program management experience.
Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements
In addition to the updates above, we’ve made several bug fixes and performance improvements to enhance overall platform reliability and usability.
This includes fixes to improve:
Stability across the Leadership Roadmap experience
Email and notification reliability
General scheduling consistency
We continue to monitor platform performance and address issues to ensure a smooth coaching experience for coaches, coachees, and administrators.
In Progress: Upcoming Enhancements
We’ve continued development on enhancements to coach invoicing and platform translation capabilities.
While these updates are not yet live, they represent important steps toward:
New coach invoicing processes
Expanding and improving multi-language support across the platform
We’ll share more details once these features are ready for release.
