SSO
Sounding Board can enable Single Sign On (SSO) through Secure Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 for customers upon request.
The IT team in a company is responsible for setting up and managing the SAML authentication system. They implement SSO for Sounding Board on their internal system(s). Sounding Board will need three pieces of information from the SAML setup to enable:
- Exported certificate
- Login URL/Entry Point
- Email Domains
Once we have the above details, the Sounding Board team will let you know when the configuration has been completed.
To test the SSO connection, users must be properly configured on the company side in the Identity Manage Group and will need to be active Sounding Board users. If you need assistance with the Sounding Board user, please let the team know to assist.
As a convenience, we have provided SAML metadata file, which you can use to configure SSO in your system quickly; you can download the file: here.

Cronofy Calendar Integration
The Sounding Board Platform is used by coaches, coachees, mentors, mentees, and other users to schedule virtual sessions. To make this process seamless, Sounding Board has partnered with Cronofy to allow syncing between the Platform and the end user’s calendar(s). For further information, see Cronofy Calendar Integration.
Integration Overview
- For additional information on how Cronofy works, click here.
- For Office 365 customers, Sounding Board recommends using the Graph API; see here for additional information.
- These resources detail what the IT team must set up for users to connect to Cronofy through Office/Exchange:
- Please note:
- We only require Free-Busy permissions to integrate with SB fully.
- The ‘Test your credentials’ step is optional for IT admins. IT admins can follow the steps above if you’d like to test.
- After the initial set of steps is completed, here is the link to connect calendars: here.
Security Overview
- As a Sounding Board Business Partner, Cronofy must adhere to our policies as if they were part of the Sounding Board Platform. In addition, Cronofy has its own SOC 2 Type II certification. Since it is an integrated part of our solution, it was certified as part of our SOC 2 Type II.
- This White Paper from Cronofy outlines some of their internal and external policies.
Note: Syncing your calendar(s) through Sounding Board and Cronofy is optional, but it is highly encouraged to optimize the experience. Users who do not sync their calendar(s) must manually review session availability between the Sounding Board Platform and their calendars when scheduling. You can contact your Admin, Sponsor, or the Sounding Board Support Team if you have any questions.
Slack
Sounding Board offers an integration between Slack and Sounding Board’s In-app Messaging. Below, you'll find installation instructions for Slack Admins and additional information on the integration.
